Increased Clamp Load Through Engineering
A new, original-equipment stock clutch produces a specific clamp load that exceeds the requirements for the vehicle's intended use. As the disc wears during normal
operation, the clutch diaphragm-spring clamp load increases, peaks in mid-life and decreases gradually. When a clutch leaves the assembly line, the clamp load curve is
fixed.

Most performance clutch suppliers paint stock clutches and sell them as performance products because they do not design or manufacture the parts. At most, these suppliers
